About C. Lynn
C. Lynn is a proud mom of two, finding joy after divorce, living in a small town in Canada. She began writing as a way to process her emotions and express herself, and over time, her prose poems grew into her debut series, Alchemy of Her Soul. Her poetic work, including Wash Me Away and Where the Soil Remembers: Earth, draws inspiration from the moments in life when she has felt silenced or invisible. Through her writing, she hopes readers will connect with her words and see themselves reflected in her poems.
When she’s not journaling or creating, Lynn enjoys playing sports, exploring nature, spending time with her kids, traveling, and reading.
Poetry isn't homework or an assignment, and it doesn't have to rhyme or follow strict rules.

Dyslexia, poetry, and finding my own way to write
My experience with dyslexia is an important part of my story and something I would love to share on the website.
Growing up, my difficulties with letters and numbers were not always understood. Over time, I learned to embrace my own way of expressing myself through poetry, writing, and drawing.
I want readers to understand that poetry isn’t homework or an assignment, and it doesn’t have to rhyme or follow strict rules. You don’t need to be an English expert to have something meaningful to say.
Long novels can feel overwhelming to me, whereas short-form poetry, prose, and quotes excite me. They allow me to express my experiences and memoir in a way that feels natural to me.
Sometimes a poem tells a story and creates an emotional connection. Other times, it may leave a reader with a question, a glimpse of darkness, or a feeling they can’t quite explain. Most importantly, I hope my writing reminds people that they aren’t alone.
I would love for the website to communicate that poetry can be a safe space to explore emotions, express ourselves, develop empathy, and begin healing.
My message and what I want readers to feel
One of my biggest goals is to advocate for women finding their voices, recognizing their strength, and understanding that it’s okay to feel deeply. It’s okay to experience heartbreak, struggle through life’s ups and downs, feel weak or uncertain, and want something to change.
I want women to know they’re allowed to make space for themselves and prioritize their well-being, whether they’re mothers, partners, or working women. I hope to encourage them to embrace their emotions, give themselves permission to heal, set healthy boundaries, say no without guilt, and recognize that they deserve respect and love, especially from themselves.
Ultimately, I want The Alchemy of Her Soul to communicate self-discovery, healing, resilience, emotional expression, and finding your voice. I want readers to feel understood and reminded that their experiences and emotions are valid.
